Background of Research and Development of Self-Luminous Warning Signs for Roads: In the construction of traditional underground facilities such as caves and civil air defense facilities, emergency guidance for caves and emergency evacuation and escape guidance for civil air defense and fire-fighting facilities mostly utilize battery-powered emergency lighting devices. These devices have disadvantages such as high maintenance costs, susceptibility to damage, or failure of electronic products in high temperatures during fires, posing safety hazards. Existing similar luminous products on the market are made of plastic and resin, which suffer from issues such as poor hardness, wear and tear, aging, unstable optical properties, and short service life. In response to the above situation, Zhejiang Shiming Optical Technology Co., Ltd. has collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences to conduct in-depth research on emergency guidance materials in dark conditions and has invented a new type of inorganic light-storing self-luminous material.
The inorganic light-storing and self-luminescent material developed by Zhejiang Shiming Optical Technology Co., Ltd. was granted a national invention patent in May 2018. Relying on dozens of core patented technologies, the company achieved three key breakthroughs, completely overturning the technical bottlenecks of traditional self-luminescent materials:
Green and environmentally friendly products: Made from inorganic minerals through one-piece firing at a high temperature of over a thousand degrees, they are free from radioactive pollution. Having passed GA-level chemical corrosion resistance and green product certification, they fully align with ecological construction and green development needs;

Optical performance innovation: Once absorbing any visible light, it can continuously emit light in the dark for more than 10 hours, with a service life of at least 30 years.
Full-scene adaptability breakthrough: With multiple advantages such as anti-aging, high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, water immersion resistance, non-fading graphic identification, and resistance to high and low temperatures, it is easy to construct and maintenance-free, suitable for use in any indoor or outdoor environment.
