What are Self-luminous Wall and Floor Tiles? What Are Their Properties and Parameters

　　Commonly known as inorganic self-luminous wall and floor tiles, their formal name is inorganic light-storing self-luminous panels. They are stone materials sintered from various inorganic minerals at a high temperature of 1,000 degrees Celsius, essentially different from ordinary ceramic clay tiles.

　　Zhejiang Globright Optical Technology Co., Ltd. launched the R&D project of inorganic light-storing self-luminous materials in 2011. Thanks to years of persistent efforts by the expert research team, the material was successfully developed in 2018, filling the domestic and international market gap. On September 15 the same year, the product achievement was officially released under the auspices of Academician Xue Yongqi from the Chinese Academy of Sciences during the National Popular Science Day. Since then, the exclusive name of inorganic light-storing self-luminous materials has been established in the market.

Product Classification, Specifications and Basic Structure

　　The tiles fall into four main categories: glossy tiles, anti-slip tiles, mesh-mounted stones and luminous stone particles. Custom patterns, colors and signs are available on tile surfaces, featuring rich hues, layered and three-dimensional visual effects with distinctive artistic appeal. Panels, mesh-mounted stones and particles can be applied freely for ground paving and wall decoration, presenting elegant and unique aesthetics.

　　Specifications: Standard size 800mm800mm14mm. Custom thickness, surface patterns and other dimensions are acceptable. The tiles can be cut into squares, circles and irregular shapes just like conventional floor tiles.

　　Glossy tile & mesh-mounted stone: Self-cleaning glaze layer + luminous layer + base layer

Luminous Principle, Product Features and Construction Guidelines

　　Luminous Principle: The tiles absorb visible light including natural sunlight and artificial light. The light storage period ranges from 5 to 20 minutes, with higher illumination shortening the charging time. A single light absorption enables sustained self-luminescence for over 10 hours in dark environments.

　　Product Features: Non-combustible, zero energy consumption, carbon-free and pollution-free. It boasts high hardness, outstanding wear resistance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance and water immersion resistance, stable performance under extreme high and low temperatures. Non-toxic and radiation-free, its optical properties remain unaffected by harsh conditions such as fire, earthquake, waterlogging and extreme cold. The eco-friendly product enjoys long service life, fadeless vivid patterns and colors, customizable patterns and sizes, easy installation, maintenance-free performance and superior anti-slip capacity.

　　Ground Construction: Pave with cement mortar in the same way as ordinary tiles. Avoid hollow bonding during construction.
